1968 Chevrolet Camaro overview and introduction

This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro is a silver-over-black coupe that underwent a three-year refurbishment beginning in 2000 and was acquired by the seller in 2004. The 388 ci small-block V8 was assembled by Norm Grimes Racing and utilizes a forged stroker crankshaft, Dart heads, and a COMP camshaft, and power is routed through a three-speed automatic and a 9″ rear end with an Eaton differential. Additional equipment includes an Edelbrock carburetor and intake, MSD ignition, 15″ Weld Prostar wheels, BFG drag radials, subframe connectors, traction bars, power steering, and front disc brakes. The cabin is outfitted with a B&M shifter, a Grant steering wheel, a cassette stereo, and an Art Morrison roll bar. The body has been repainted in silver, and it is equipped with a raised-cowl hood, chrome bumpers, dual side mirrors, and a rear spoiler. The seller tells us the front fenders, front and rear windscreens, and front side windows were replaced when the car was repainted. Noted imperfections include a crack near the rear window, a chip on the front-right fender, rust on the bottom of the passenger fender, and a blemish on the driver’s door under the mirror.… The five-digit odometer shows 94k miles, less than 5k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
